Elementary level students transition from the Children’s program and enter a more structured class environment. From this point, ballet students begin to broaden their horizons. Their education in ballet terminology, technique, anatomy, and placement increase extensively.
Hour long classes are now needed to assure proper alignment, muscular development, and proficiency in movement.
Placement within this classification is with the approval of the instructors.
Elementary 1: Our syllabus based on the Royal Academy of Dance insures a smooth transition from the Primary level.
CONTINUING Elementary (2& 3): Continued work on the previous year and building strength and skill is our focus. In this very important level… we begin preparation for placement in the Intermediate Level… ***It is important to know that the Elementary Level may take longer for some students. Placement in the Intermediate class requires a certain amount of strength, alignment, skill, maturity and commitment.
THIS year we are adding a 2nd class to the upper Elementary class Schedule.
A Basic Ballet class that is “Pre Intermediate”….Open to Elementary level dancers as well as Teens and Adults who fit the criteria. A wonderful opportunity for more time in class so necessary to work on technique, strength, balance, turns and combinations.
