Intermediate Ballet Class Schedule for 2017-18
Mondays 5:30-7:00 AND Thursday 6:00-7:30-Pointe/Pre-Pointe Saturdays 12:00-1:30
Intermediate : This is a transition level from the Elementary class and will probably take more than a year to complete. Dancers at this Level are required to take a minimum of 2 hour and a half classes per week and depending upon their level of commitment …students have the option of adding 1 or 2 additional classes plus the pre pointe/pointe class.
LOTS to do! We will be focusing on secure and stable turns, ability to hold turn out, and building strong Core muscles to support future pointe work. Dancers will be comfortable with terminology and aware of body positions, and able to start handling memorization of a string of combinations during barre, center, petite allegro, and big jumps.
Continuing Intermediate: This is an OPEN level class which means that it is very individualized.
This is the perfect level for dancers who are serious about their training. This class will move at a much quicker pace, offering more complex combinations both at the barre and in the center. Dancers will be exposed to more advanced and diverse exercises, challenging them to elevate their level of training while still maintaining a strong focus on their core ballet technique. At this level dancers should begin to explore and develop their artistry and musicality.
